Material Overview

Asphalt Shingles

Asphalt shingles are the most widely used roofing material in the United States — and for good reason. They offer an excellent combination of affordability, durability, and aesthetic versatility. Available in a wide range of colors and styles, they can complement virtually any home design. We install premium architectural (dimensional) shingles that provide superior protection and curb appeal compared to standard 3-tab products.

Architectural shingles — also called dimensional or laminate shingles — are the standard choice for residential roofing throughout North Carolina. Unlike older 3-tab products, they have a multi-layer construction that creates a textured appearance while significantly improving wind resistance, impact resistance, and longevity. Most carry wind ratings of 110–130 mph and are available with Class 4 impact resistance ratings, which can qualify homeowners for insurance discounts.

We are a certified installer for leading shingle manufacturers including GAF, Owens Corning, and CertainTeed. Certified installation is important because it unlocks the strongest available manufacturer warranties — including lifetime coverage on qualifying products — and ensures your roof is installed to the exact specifications required for those warranties to remain valid. You're getting both the best materials and the installation quality to back them up.
